AVidalesFitness had been relying heavily on Instagram as his main channel to deliver his content, which was limiting his potential audience reach. Not surprisingly, his engagement growth was modest. To grow at a faster rate, AVidalesFitness recognized the need to tap into other social media channels and sought out Vital Marketing expertise.

Solution

Vital Marketing identified the possibility for AVidalesFitness to reach a different audience throughout a different, somewhat overlooked social media channel called Quora.

Quora is a question-and-answer website where people all around the globe ask questions, and anyone can answer. The platform currently has around 300 million active readers every month, and about 40 million of those are in the U.S.

In March, Vital Marketing began answering questions on the platform every day for an entire month; testing different writing methods and targeting various niches. By April, the needle started to move. The agency implemented more personal answers using impactful images, and this started generating more engagement.

By May, Vital Marketing focused on only answering “top” questions to be able to generate a more significant impact, which led to a substantial increase in engagement.

Results

Since May 2018, AVidalesFitness has been able to reach over 1.26 million answer views and over 16,000 upvotes on Quora. One of the answers alone got 11,800 upvotes and more than 550,000 views. By August, AVidalesFitness was one of the Most Viewed Writers on Quora in Health and Diet.

Answering on Quora helped AVidalesFitness gain more than 3,200 followers on Instagram and led to over $3,500 in revenue in the first couple of weeks after he launched his online training program in September 2018. All of that, without spending a single dime on paid advertising.
